On June 18, a photo session was held in Susong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the opening of a pop-up store for a fermented health drink brand. TWICE members, including Sana and Mina, attended the event and drew significant attention.
The biggest talking point following the event was Sana. She appeared wearing a floral-patterned tube-top mini dress that featured a styling detail making the hem appear rolled up, revealing matching bottoms underneath. The look quickly led to discussions online, with some describing it as a “pantsless fashion” style.

Particularly in certain photographs, both the dress lining and the bottoms were visible, triggering heated debate across online communities and social media platforms.
Netizens reacted with comments such as, “Please wear the outfit properly,” “I don’t understand this fashion,” “It looks strange,” “It’s too much,” and “It doesn’t seem appropriate for an official event.” Others disagreed, writing, “It’s pretty, though,” “Isn’t that simply how the outfit was designed?” and “This feels like a matter of personal taste.”

As the discussion grew, Sana personally addressed the situation through a fan communication platform. She explained, “During the fitting, I wore it so the center wouldn’t open, but I was so busy when entering the event that I didn’t get a chance to check myself in a mirror.”
She continued, “I only realized after returning to the waiting room that it had been photographed in that state. I was already disappointed that I couldn’t wear it the way it looked during the fitting, and now there’s so much talk about it, which makes me even more upset.” Sana added, “It was really just a very minor incident.”

Even after her explanation, reactions remained divided. Some fans responded with comments like, “So it was part of the outfit concept,” “I thought it was the original design,” and “Sana must have felt bad.” Others questioned the explanation, asking, “Could someone really not notice that?” and “Did she genuinely not know?”

Sana was not the only member drawing attention. Mina’s styling also became a hot topic. She appeared wearing a black crop top paired with low-rise pants. The outfit featured exposed pink string details on both sides of the top, combined with layered styling that some felt resembled underwear-inspired fashion.
Online reactions included comments such as, “Everyone’s fashion today feels a bit difficult to understand,” “It’s very bold,” and “Have they switched to a sexy concept?” However, many others praised the look, saying, “Only Mina could pull off this style,” and “The outfit is unique but beautiful.”

In particular, fans noted that not only Sana and Mina but TWICE members overall showcased bolder and more distinctive fashion choices than usual during the event.
Meanwhile, Sana’s outfit was revealed to be a design from Korean fashion brand BONBOM. The same styling concept had previously appeared in the brand’s official lookbook, and singer Jeon Somi reportedly wore the design while attending the brand’s show during Paris Fashion Week last year.
