Hit songwriter and producer Shinsadong Tiger (real name Lee Ho-yang) was found dead on February 23rd. Upon hearing the sad news, many K-pop artists who had worked with him, such as T-ara’s Ham Eun-jung and Soyeon, Jannabi’s Choi Jung-hoon, etc., left messages of tribute to him.

Six-member girl group Tri.be produced by Shinsadong Tiger had a comeback stage on the day the news broke out. On the second day after the late producer’s passing, the members wore white ribbons on their hearts during the performance.

The title of Tri.be’s new song, which eventually became the posthumous work of Shinsadong Tiger, is “Diamond”, which strangely matches the shining career of the deceased.

Shinsadong Tiger’s funeral was set up at St. Mary’s Hospital in Seoul privately at the request of the bereaved family. He will be laid to rest at 2 p.m. on February 25th.

Along with the unexpected death of Shinsadong Tiger, attention was also focused on the moves of Tri.be, the group Shinsadong Tiger created with all his affection and efforts when he was alive. According to the group’s company, the members were very shocked and sad because they had been working with him for a long time but they would continue carrying out the comeback promotion without interruption.

On the 23rd, the day the sad news was reported, the group performed live on “Music Bank”, and they also joined “Music Core” and “Inkigayo” broadcasts on the 24th and 25th. The members agreed that “continuing the performances under any circumstances” is the way they show sincere respect to Shinsadong Tiger.

Meanwhile, Shinsadong Tiger was a famous hitmaker who produced various popular songs for second- and third-generation idols, such as T-ara’s “Roly Poly”, 4Minute’s “Hot Issue”, Secret’s “Magic”, Hyuna’s “Change”, EXID’s “Up & Down”, MOMOLAND’s “Bboom Bboom”, etc.
