Only one member of the most popular girl group in Korea today with a huge number of followers on Instagram, BLACKPINK, appeared in the top 5.
The positions of female idols in the top 5 are as follows: #1 IU, #2 Taeyeon (SNSD), #3 Winter (aespa), #5 Jang Won Young (IVE). The only member of BLACKPINK who showed up in this ranking is Jennie at #4. The search volume in this ranking was assessed in the first quarter of 2022. It was a surprise to many netizens when other BLACKPINK members namely Lisa, Jisoo, or Rosé did not appear.
Recently, Jennie took the 2nd position in the list of the top 10 most mentioned artists on social media during Coachella, the world’s largest music festival. Jennie achieved this even though she was not a performer. This has proven Jennie’s extremely huge influence on SNS not only domestically but also internationally.
