Tony Leung, who appeared in NewJeans’ MV has an extramarital affair with a 36-year-younger idol?
Taiwanese media claimed that top-tier actor Tony Leung is cheating on his wife with idol-actress Cheng Xiao.
On August 12th, Taiwanese media TVBS unexpectedly reported that an A-list actor has an extramarital affair with a 36-year-younger idol, and the involved parties were revealed to be Tony Leung and Cheng Xiao.
Tony Leung is 61 years old this year, whilst Cheng Xiao is only 25 years old, making for a 36-year age difference and leaving the public in deep shock.
In particular, TVBS claimed that Tony Leung has been unfaithful and is cheating on his wife, Carina Lau, with Cheng Xiao. According to the media outlet, the idol-actress was spotted strolling together with Tony Leung on the streets, and the “couple” even have a child together.
“Tony Leung also purchased a villa in Japan for Cheng Xiao and their illegitimate child. Carina Lau herself had to go to Japan to meet with this ‘mistress’”, TVBS wrote.
Immediately after TVBS’ article was published, Cheng Xiao’s side strongly refuted the claims. Meanwhile, Tony Leung’s side hasn’t made any comment about these extramarital affair and illegitimate child rumors.
On the other hand, Tony Leung is considered one of Asia’s most successful and internationally recognized actors. He recently made a special appearance in NewJeans’ “Cool With You” MV without taking any payment.
Meanwhile, Cheng Xiao debuted as a member of Kpop girl group WJSN (Cosmic Girls) in 2016, but hasn’t been active with the group since 2018. Instead, she has been focusing on individual activities in China.
