On September 22 (local time), multiple U.S. outlets including Deadline Hollywood and The Hollywood Reporter (THR) confirmed that Sony and Marvel Studios temporarily halted production for about a week following Holland’s accident, choosing not to proceed without him. The studios emphasized that the incident would not affect the film’s release schedule.

The accident occurred on September 19 at Pinewood Studios in the U.K., where Holland fell during a stunt sequence and suffered a minor concussion. He was immediately transported to a hospital for evaluation but was not admitted for extended treatment. Reports also noted that a female stunt performer from the same set was taken away in an ambulance.

Producers explained that the short break was simply a precaution and reassured fans that Holland would return to filming within days. No additional injuries were reported.

The day after the accident, on September 20, Holland appeared at an event for The Brothers Trust, the charity he runs with his siblings, accompanied by his fiancée Zendaya. However, due to his condition, he left the event early.

Prior to the accident, Holland expressed excitement about the new film, saying, “I’m thrilled to be filming on real locations. Unlike the last movie, which was shot mostly on soundstages during the pandemic, this time we’ll be using entire streets in Glasgow for large-scale action scenes.”
