BIGBANG’s G-Dragon covered his face out of embarrassment, LE SSERAFIM’s Yunjin and BLACKPINK danced to their song out of joy
While idols are icons to fans, the K-pop stars themselves have candid and funny moments to learn about their popularity in real life.
G-Dragon (BIGBANG)
Recently, G-Dragon was caught on camera to be on a quick retreat at a coffee shop. When the rap part from BIGBANG’s “Still Life” came up, G-Dragon immediately felt shy. He covered his face and ran. The rapper’s actions made the people at the shop giggle out of surprise to see a senior artist such as GD to have such a comic reaction to his song being broadcast in everyday life.
On another occasion, when the rapper saw himself on a big screen, he suddenly grew timid and covered his face out of shyness. Perhaps even celebrities such as G-Dragon still have their awkward moments.
Yunjin (LE SSERAFIM)
Not long ago, LE SSERAFIM’s Yunjin was at a diner when her group’s song suddenly started playing. Her joy grew apparent on her face when the song was known by a wider public. The idol was also eager to perform the choreography. Some fans attributed this overwhelming reaction to her unawareness of how popular the group was in real life. Fans were especially excited to see her goofy but genuine reaction.
Tiffany (Girls’ Generation)
In one of her airport appearances, Girls’ Generation Tiffany was confused when too many reporters were surrounding her. The footage was shared among fans for its comic elements when the singer herself seemed to forget she had such a major influence that people wanted to know her every move.
Ten (NCT)
Ten is a Thai member in WayV under SM Entertainment. Due to a busy schedule and complicated pandemic development, the idol has not been able to go back to his hometown in three years. Recently, when he was recording for “Food Truck Battle”, the idol was welcomed with a secret project his fans from Thailand organized for him. The idol could not hide his tears.
BLACKPINK
While BLACKPINK’s global reputation is undeniable, the idols sometimes let it slip past their mind that they are, in fact, idols. In one of their relaxing trips to a beachfront bar in Thailand, the YG idols were surprised to hear their song “BOOMBAYAH” in public, as if they did not know their billion-view hit song was not well-known in and outside of Korea. The members froze at first, but soon caught up with the vibe and swung to the beat.
