On the upcoming September 22nd episode of SBS’s “My Ugly Duckling” at 9:05 p.m. (KST), the main cast of “Reply 1997”—Eun Ji-won, Lee Si-eon, and Seo In-guk—are shown going on a summer vacation together for the first time in 12 years.
In the episode, Eun Ji-won met his close younger friends Seo In-guk and Lee Si-eon, whom he bonded with through “Reply 1997.” Known for being a homebody, Eun Ji-won attracted everyone’s attention by preparing a summer vacation for his friends. When the extraordinary secret of the vacation spot Eun Ji-won had chosen was revealed, not only were Lee Si-eon and Seo In-guk shocked, but even the “Mother Avengers” in the studio were taken aback. Surprised by Eun Ji-won’s selection of an unexpected and bizarre vacation spot, the mothers remarked, “Eun-cho-ding (Eun Ji-won’s nickname for being childish) is indeed Eun-cho-ding,” and “He hasn’t grown up,” expressing their disbelief.
Eun Ji-won, Lee Si-eon, and Seo In-guk then competed in a karaoke scoring battle with a medley of nostalgic songs, bringing everyone back to fond memories as familiar tunes played. Lee Si-eon surprised Tony’s mother by starting with an H.O.T. song, while Eun Ji-won impressed Kim Jong-kook’s mother with a passionate rendition of Turbo’s “Black Cat Nero”. The three men became one as they performed Sechs Kies “The way this guy lives” (a famous hit), with Eun Ji-won’s trademark rap and dance moves captivating everyone, leaving them in awe.
Meanwhile, Eun Ji-won made a shocking revelation that Lee Si-eon had strongly opposed Seo In-guk’s casting in “Reply 1997” before filming began.
