This Anime Could Be as Big as “Jujutsu Kaisen”, “Demon Slayer”, and “Haikyuu”

One of the most anticipated anime series of Fall 2024 is believed to be a major hit like "Jujutsu Kaisen", "Demon Slayer", and “Haikyuu”.

“Dandadan” is a popular Shonen manga created and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu, serialized since April 2021. Its highly awaited anime adaptation is set to premiere in Fall 2024.

The manga is renowned for its fluid battle choreography and stunning illustrations. Studio Science SARU has brilliantly adapted the manga’s style into an anime with creativity and vibrancy.

The story revolves around Momo Ayase and her classmate Takakura. While Momo believes in ghosts, Takakura—who is skeptical of the supernatural—believes in aliens. To prove who’s right, they make a bet, leading to a series of hilarious events.

This youthful love story is packed with chaotic encounters involving demons, monsters, aliens, battles, and plenty of drama.

If everything goes as planned, it could become one of the biggest anime series globally. Particularly, Shinichi Tabuchi, Head of General Programming at MBS TV, promoted the anime by stating (according to Yahoo News), “This is an anime that even adults like us can enjoy, about facing unexpected events while accepting each other’s diversity. I’m sure it will spread like ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’, ‘Haikyuu’, and ‘Demon Slayer’.”

MBS is producing the “Dandadan” anime alongside Aniplex. “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “Demon Slayer” (also known by its Japanese title ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba’) are among the most popular shonen battle series, while “Haikyuu” is beloved by sports anime fans.

All three of these shows are globally renowned, and it would be an incredible achievement if this new series had a similar impact on anime fans.
