A famous K-drama actress has returned to the small screen at the age of 50
Jang Seo Hee, who drew huge attention through the 2008 TV Drama “Temptation of Wife”, is returning in the new MBC series “Game of Witches”. Despite generating little discussion on international platforms, “Game of Witches” is well-received in Korea with ratings around the 5-6% mark, an impressive number for a weekday series.
In the drama, Jang Seo Hee assumes the role of Yoo Kyung, a successful woman who started working at the Chunha Corporation as a secretary, and now has accumulated enough experience to become a CEO. Recently, she realized that her daughter, who was presumed dead, is still alike, and so set out to bring her daughter home and pay venange to those that hurt her. Here, the image of Jang Seo Hee as Yoo Kyung, an established woman, exuded a classy, gorgeous, and alluring aura.
Most surprising to the audience, however, is Jang Seo Hee’s appearance at the age of 50. In fact, the actress boasted glowy skin and an ideal physique on the screen, looking as youthful as if still in her early 30s. Jang Seo Hee was once a household name all across Asia with her iconic role in “Temptation of Wife”. At the time, the actress’ outstanding beauty and acting skills earned her huge popularity during the late 90s and 2000s, and in a 2007 poll in China, she was ranked the most influential Korean actress.
From 2010 onwards, Jang Seo Hee started to reduce the number of her projects, and her influence decreased accordingly.
