“Third sex crime” ex-B.A.P Himchan, added illegal filming charge “The victim demands severe punishment”

Former B.A.P member Himchan (real name Kim Himchan), who is facing his third sexual assault allegation, has had an additional charge of illegal filming

On October 24th, Seoul Western District Court Criminal Division 12 (Senior Judge Bae Sung-joong) held the first trial for Himchan, who was charged with crimes under the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Assault Crimes (using a camera to film and using communication media for lewd acts).

Himchan is accused of sexually assaulting a victim in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul and illegally filming the act in May last year.

During the trial, Himchan admitted to the charges. The victim’s side emphasized that they do not consent to a settlement and demanded “severe punishment”.

The court decided to merge this case with Himchan’s second sexual crime case. Himchan was accused of forcibly molesting two women on a staircase outside a bar in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on April 17th last year.

Himchan was previously scheduled to be sentenced on November 8th for the forced molesting charges. However, with the addition of the illegal filming charge, the trial schedule was changed to November 21st at 10:40 AM.

Meanwhile, Himchan is already serving a prison sentence for another sexual harassment case. He was sentenced to imprisonment for sexually harassing a woman in her 20s who accompanied him at a pension in Joan-myeon, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do on July 24th, 2018.
