According to a SPOTV News report, tvN’s upcoming drama Signal 2 (written by Kim Eun-hee, directed by Ahn Tae-jin) concluded its six-month filming schedule earlier this morning. The cast and crew are set to celebrate with a wrap-up party on August 12.
A continuation of Signal’s time-bending crime narrative, the new season reunites original stars Kim Hye-soo , Lee Je-hoon, and Jo Jin-woong. The first season became a cultural landmark for its gripping portrayal of detectives in the past and present, mysteriously linked through an old radio signal to solve long-unsolved cold cases.
Viewers are eager to see if the sequel will finally address the unanswered questions left by the first season’s cliffhanger, including the fate of Detective Lee Jae-han, missing for 15 years.
The sequel is penned by Kim Eun-hee, acclaimed for works such as Revenant, Jirisan, Kingdom, and Three Days, with direction by Ahn Tae-jin, known for The Night Owl. Signal 2 will premiere in 2026 as part of tvN’s 20th-anniversary celebrations.
