On February 15th, at 2:00 pm KST, a press conference for the movie “My Heart Puppy” was held at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Actors Yoo Yeon Seok, Cha Tae Hyun, and director Kim Joo Hwan attended the scene.
Led by Yoo Yeon Seok and Cha Tae Hyun, “My Heart Puppy” follows two men who bid farewell to their family-like puppy as they go on a journey to find a new owner. This is a new movie by director Kim Joo Hwan of “Midnight Runners”.
Yoo Yeon Seok, who actually adopted an abandoned dog and lives with him, said at the press conference, “I have always had dogs at my home since I was a child. However, there are times when I have no choice but to let them go because the pace of life is different when living with dogs even when they are always by our side. When I sent them away, it hurt so much.” He shed tears, saying, “I deliberately turned away from him because I was in so much pain.”
Yoo Yeon Seok calmed down for a while and said, “In the movie, watching the traces of the puppy in an empty space and touching its fur reminded me of the puppies I had in the past, so I became interested in the role.”
At the same time, Yoo Yeon Seok said, “I think the movie conveys the message about the problem of abandoned dogs and the difficulties of raising a companion dog without burden..”
“My Heart Puppy”, which attracts attention with the combination of Cha Tae Hyun and Yoo Yeon Seok, will be released in theaters nationwide on March 1st.
