In particular, BTS is drawing keen attention as it has been nominated for the Best Pop Duo/ Group Performance category for the song “Butter” and is challenging to win the award. Moreover, fans are also looking forward to their performance.

It is known that Mnet will exclusively report live news of the 64th Grammy Awards at 9 a.m on April 4th (KST). Pop DJ Bae Chul-soo, pop music critic Lim Jin-mo, and Tae In-young, a simultaneous interpreter and pop MC, will be in charge of the broadcast.

Upon hearing the news, netizens on online communities expressed dissatisfaction with the selection of Lim Jin-mo and Bae Chul-soo as broadcasters.

In fact, the two used to be criticized by the viewers for their remarks about Grammy Awards in the past, such as “It’s so great to see them (the artists) full of confidence although they are so bulky”, “The lyrics are quite racy”, “That’s so suggestive”, etc.

In this regard, netizens pointed out, “To me, who had watched several reporting live broadcasts of the Grammy Awards, their comments always made me feel uncomfortable”, adding, “They should have explained why the recent trend of pop music is this and that along with what’s happening at the awards ceremony in the U.S, but they didn’t do so. They only gossiped and gave evaluations on the artists’ faces and bodies”.

Another netizen criticized, “What’s worse is that they only talk about their personal experience or admiration rather than opinions on music. The broadcast only gives information at the level that the public can easily find out themselves.”
