The reason Lee Seung Gi disclosed a reporter’s real name when he was still in Singapore, “The anger he endured burst”
Lee Jin Ho explained why Lee Seung Gi made his recent SNS post targeting a reporter.
On April 13th, reporter-turned-Youtuber Lee Jin Ho uploaded on his channel a video titled “Lee Seung Gi eventually explodes… Why did he mention the real name of the reporter?”.
In the video, Lee Jin Ho explained the reason Lee Seung Gi made his post in Singapore, but not Korea, while going on a business trip with his wife Lee Da In.
Regarding Lee Seung Gi’s post, Lee Jin Ho claimed, “It is obvious that this article had been overlooked by a media expert”.
He explained, “Expressions, such as ‘Hooklighting’, ‘50 billion won (before tax)’, ‘I always believe that the public is right’, the punctuation marks and the flow of the text show a typical media article. Unlike ordinary people, he even used the right word to refer to ‘the public’. Therefore, it is true that this article had been reviewed by a media expert”.
As for the reason Lee Seung Gi wrote such an article, Lee Jin Ho said, “I already knew that Lee Seung Gi would post something like this through previous articles”.
The Youtube went on to explain, “I realized that through the actions of Lee Seung Gi and Kyeon Mi Ri. Guen Mi Ri recently sued five media outlets that published articles about her husband, except for one that agreed to publish a correction article as a condition. According to what I heard, the atmosphere was not bad. Lee Seung Gi also needed an excuse to make a post revealing his feelings.”
Lee Jin Ho claimed that Lee Seung Gi had already planned to release the article in advance. He said, “It’s partly true that he had a plan. However, he didn’t have the intention to publish it after leaving for Singapore with Lee Da In. Something happened and it caused Lee Seung Gi to change his mind.”
He added, “Through my investigation, I found out the reason Lee Seung Gi changed his plan. It was due to the reporter whose name was clearly mentioned in Lee Seung Gi’s post. Lee Seung Gi had been under tremendous psychological pressure in the process of preparing for his marriage. Ever since the preparation stage, he had been surrounded by public attention as well as harsh criticism and negative public opinion over Kyeon Mi Ri’s family. At the moment when the actor was feeling extremely depressed, the article written by that report came out and became a trigger that ultimately led Lee Seung Gi to post his article right in Singapore.”
“My comprehensive judgment is that Lee Seung Gi made a big mistake when he released a post full of emotions like that. He created too many opportunities for people to criticize him”, the Youtuber said, adding “If I were a close acquaintance of Lee Seung Gi, I would have stopped him from posting that”.
Regarding the reporter whose name was disclosed in Lee Seung Gi’s post, Lee Jin Ho said, “Despite all this, the reason why Lee Seung Gi had no choice but to post the article was that the anger he had been enduring and suppressing finally exploded because of that reporter”. In this regard, he confessed, “Many insiders had also guessed that Lee Seung Gi might explode with anger sooner or later”.
Earlier on April 12th, Lee Seung Gi released a long message on his Instagram account that covered six topics. He mentioned his unpaid settlement of 5 billion won, corrected false information about his in-laws, criticized reporters’ behaviors when reporting news, the conflict with his former agency Hook, public reaction to his marriage, and the reason he took his courage to straightforwardly revealed all of these matters.
