According to reports on May 12, Kim Da Mi, Lee Chung Ah, and Jo Aram have been cast as the leads in the noir series set during the 1970s and 1980s.
The Obedient Killer follows the story of a gentle woman whose only dream was to become a devoted wife and mother. After unexpectedly being pushed out into society, she takes a suspicious job at a mysterious company that encourages women to enter the workforce.

As she struggles to survive outside her once-protected life, she gradually discovers an unexpected talent for making people disappear without leaving behind noise or evidence.
Kim Da Mi will reportedly play the lead character Go Dal Boon, a once-obedient wife who gets divorced and enters the dangerous world of contract killing in order to regain custody of her young daughter.
The role marks a notable return to action-oriented material for Kim Da Mi, who first gained major attention through The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion.

Lee Chung Ah has reportedly been cast as the cold and elite assassin Lee Hwa Ra, also known by the codename “Miss Lee.” The character is described as emotionally detached, sharp, and unwilling to tolerate weakness or romance while striving to become the best.
Meanwhile, Jo Aram will transform into “Miss Gye,” also known as Gye Sook Hee, a natural-born fighter with a fiery personality who never hesitates to confront trouble directly.

The drama will reportedly be written by Joo Hwa Mi, known for The Atypical Family, while director Lee Jung Heum of Inspector Koo and Our Movie will helm the project.
The unique blend of retro noir aesthetics, female-led action, and dark comedy has already sparked anticipation among K-drama fans.
