The moment Lee Jung Jae was named Best Actor at the Emmys, his girlfriend Lim Se Ryung was touched 

Lee Jung Jae shared the joy of a historic win with his girlfriend at the Emmys. 

At the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards held in Los Angeles, California on September 12th (local time), Lee Jung Jae won the Best Actor Award in a Drama series for his role in Netflix original series “Squid Game”. He made history by becoming the first Asian actor to take home an Emmy in this category. 

His girlfriend, Daesang Corporation’s Vice Chairman Lim Se Ryung, was also present at the Emmys and was seated right next to Lee Jung Jae.

As soon as Lee Jung Jae’s name was called, Lim Se Ryung appeared to be ecstatic that she was unable to get up from her seat for a moment. Then, with a bright expression, she congratulated Lee Jung Jae with applause as he walked up to the stage.

When Lee Jung Jae delivered his acceptance speech, Lim Se Ryung was also caught on camera clapping hands with a proud and happy smile on her face. 

Lim Se Ryung arrived at the red carpet with Lee Jung Jae prior to the awards ceremony, drawing much attention. They stood hand-in-hand at the photo wall and showed their affection for one another in front of the local media.

Lee Jung Jae and Lim Se Ryung have been showing up at the actor’s various schedules in the US as a couple. In particular, every year since 2018, they have attended the LACMA Art + Film Gala, an American social event, proving their relationship has been going strong for 7 years. Every time she accompanies Lee Jung Jae on the red carpet, Lim Se Ryung’s elegant fashion and aura draw keen attention.

Since Lee Jung Jae became a global star with the phenomenal success of “Squid Game”, foreign interest in the couple has also been on the rise.

Lim Se Ryung and Lee Jung Jae confirmed their relationship in January 2015. Dating rumors of the two started in 2010, followed by rumors of marriage in 2012.  However, Lee Jung Jae denied this.
