Actor Yoo Ji-tae will come back soon through “Money Heist: Joint Economic Area” on Netflix.

After a long hiatus, ahead of his return with “Money Heist: Joint Economic Area”, actor Yoo Ji-tae appeared on the entertainment program “Yoo Quiz on the Block” and talked about various things, as well as revealing his love story with his wife Kim Hyo-jin.

The couple have known each other for a long time. They met while filming an ad, and before they started dating, Kim Hyo-jin confessed to Yoo Ji-tae that there was a different person that she wanted him to introduce her to. Yoo Ji-tae, who heard the story, decided to arrange a blind date for her, but the mentioned acquaintance refuses, saying, “Kim Hyo-jin is not my style.”

At that moment, Yoo Ji-tae thought, “Hyo-jin is 10 million times better than you” before calling Kim Hyo-jin right away during his taxi ride back home after meeting that acquaintance and confessed, “Let’s just go out with me.”

At that time, Kim Hyo-jin was in New York. When Kim Hyo-jin said, “I’ll think about it if you come to New York,” Yoo Ji-tae boarded the plane right away. After declaring that “If we date for more than three years, let’s get married,” they became lovers, and after five years of dating, the two married in 2011.

In addition to actor and director, Yoo Ji-tae has a dream of becoming a social worker. He said, “I want to live by giving back to this society because I am a person who has grown thanks to the love of the public.” Yoo then went to graduate school to study social welfare, and continues to do volunteering and sharing with his wife, Kim Hyo-jin.

The couple invited the grandmothers who are comfort women (victims of the Japanese Military Sexual Slavery during WWII) to their wedding, and they are becoming model citizens by continuously practicing volunteering and sharing in various ways, starting with donating their wedding congratulatory money to build new schools in Myanmar.
