The wedding dress chosen by former Olympic rhythmic gymnast Son Yeonjae is drawing attention.
Son Yeonjae married the head of a global hedge fund of a Korean subsidiary with a nine-year age gap at Shilla Hotel in Seoul on August 21st.
At the ceremony, Son Yeonjae wore a wedding dress with a unique diagonal off-shoulder design on one side. The belline dress made of Mikado silk further highlighted Son Yeon-jae’s innocent yet bright image.
The dress was identified as a 2023 spring collection dress by Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab, owner of a brand of the same name favored by Middle Eastern conglomerates and Hollywood celebrities. In Korea, Son Ye-jin drew attention by wearing it in her pre-wedding pictorials.
It is known that Elisab’s customized dress costs about 80 million won. For wedding dresses released as a collection, they tend to fall within a price range of about $7,500 to $20,000 (10 million won to 27 million won). The “2022 Autumn Winter Bridal Collection,” which Son Ye-jin wore, costs approximately 30 million won.
In addition, the hotel wedding hall where Son Yeon-jae married is one of the most luxurious in Korea and only the flower decoration costs a medium-sized car.
Rumor has it that the cost of wedding halls will rise to hundreds of millions of won if fresh flower decorations are added. Many stars and wealthy names, including Jang Dong-gun and Ko So-young, Yoo Jae-suk and Na Kyung-eun, Kwon Sang-woo and Son Tae-young, Jeon Ji-hyun, Jeon Do-yeon and Hwang Jung-eum, also married at the hotel.
