The identity of the second-in-command in “Big Mouth” was revealed, but its ratings fell sharply.
According to the ratings research company Nielsen Korea on Sep 10th, episode 13 of MBC’s “Big Mouth“, which aired on the previous day, recorded a viewership rating of 8.3% nationwide.
On this day’s broadcast, Park Chang-ho (Lee Jong-suk), who became the second Big Mouse after Noh Park (Yang Hyung-wook), declared his candidacy for the Gucheon mayor election and went into an all-out war with Choi Do-ha (Kim Joo-hun).
In particular, the scene where Park Chang-ho met Kang Seong-geun (Chairman Kang) (Jeon Gook-hwan) soared to 10.6%.
In addition, in episode 12, the identity of the second-in-command in “Big Mouth”, which had not been disclosed so far, was also revealed. The main character was Kim Soon-tae (Oh Eui-shik).
A video containing Noh Park’s last wish was released at the funeral hall of Noh Park (Yang Hyung-wook).
In the video, Noh Park declared, “As long as the world knows about Big Mouse’s existence, our method will not work. From this moment on, Big Mouse is not me, but Park Chang-ho.”
When the person who filmed this video turned out to be Kim Soon-tae, the second-in-command in “Big Mouth”, Park Chang-ho could not keep his mouth closed as he felt betrayed.
Kim Soon-tae told Park Chang-ho, “I couldn’t bear to see you die that unfairly. I saved my friend.”
Among them, Park Yoon-gap (Jeong Jae-sung), who could not accept Park Chang-ho as the No.1 in power, acted alone. He attacked Choi Do-ha and caused serious injuries.
At the end of the broadcast, there was a scene in which Park Chang-ho held a press conference and declared “I will run as an independent in the next mayoral election”, raising viewers’ curiosity about the upcoming story.
Meanwhile, “Big Mouth” airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM. The series tells the story of an underperforming lawyer who gets caught up in a murder case. In order to survive and protect his family, he digs into a huge conspiracy among the privileged upper classes.
