The identity of male idol from “Produce 101 season 2” who threatened his ex-girlfriend with a weapon

Netizens are focused on the identity of male idol from the Mnet’s survival program “Produce 101 Season 2”, who wielded a weapon at his ex-girlfriend.

Recently, on various online communities, an article titled “A male idol from ‘Produce 101 season 2’ wields a weapon at his girlfriend” was posted.

The article was soon filled with comments speculating on his identity, but netizens pointed out that while the age was stated to be around 26-27 years old, there were a lot of people  from the show born in 1995 or 1996.

Others wrote comments such as “Most of the male trainees who appeared in Season 2 made their debuts, so it will be difficult to pinpoint who this man is”, “I don’t think the guy is a famous idol”, “Why is he getting probation only?”, “‘Produce 101 season 2’ is a successful program. It went well, so there were a lot of debuts.”

Earlier on August 19th, male idol A (26) received charges of injury, special threats, and house trespassing, and was sentenced to one year in prison and 2 years in probation. The judge later ordered 1 year of probation and 80 hours of community service.

It was revealed at in October of last year, A broke into his then girlfriend, B’s house, threatened her with a knife, strangled her, and threatened her after she refused to continue meeting him
