Her 35-year-old son Kang Ho (Lee Do Hyun), who became a prosecutor, returned as a 7-year-old child due to amnesia after an unexpected accident. Meanwhile, Young Soon was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. Many viewers wondered if it was necessary to include the setting that Young Soon had stage 4 stomach cancer.

Ra Mi Ran said, “People say ‘It’s a cliché’ or ‘Korean dramas are always about cancer’, but there are actually a lot of cancer patients these days. In a way, there can be enough. They say it’s too much for Young Soon. If you see it as a drama, I don’t think it was bad.”

She explained why she had no choice but to appear in “The Good Bad Mother”, “The overall plot itself is an old story. From making my son a prosecutor to having cancer. It feels old now, but it wasn’t like that at all when I read the script. It was so exciting. After finishing reading Part 1, I had no choice but to read Part 2 and kept reading it.

She added, “If a story has the power to attract me, no matter if it’s new or old, I still choose it.”
