“The Glory” receives international acclaim, gains a perfect score from critics around the world 

At the moment, Korean dramas are buzzing with the heat and quality that “The Glory” brings to the audience. After airing the last 8 episodes, “The Glory” quickly gains worldwide critical acclaim with astounding scores.

On Rotten Tomatoes, “The Glory” receives a rare 100% from the critics on the “Average Tomatometer” scale for a Korean drama series. The Average Audience Score” also returns a score of 96%, showing an overwhelmingly positive reaction to the series. 

Most of the praise is for Song Hye Kyo’s performance as Moon Dong Eun. The Decider stated, “‘The Glory’ works as a revenge story because you’re immediately drawn to Dong Eun and want to see her get back at those that scarred her for life.”

AV Club also remarked the drama series to be a “can’t-miss-a-second plotting (a worthy continuation of the series that doubles down on its twists) with can’t-look-away framing” to praise both of the series’ compelling story and visually attractive cinematography. 

Two parts of “The Glory” are scored 7.9/10 on IMDb by 8 thousand reviews. Douban even gave it a higher score with 8.8/10 for the first part and 9.6/10 for the second.

“The Glory” is, no doubt, the glorious return of Song Hye Kyo after years of being under fire for her acting. Her haunting performance through 13 episodes along with a great ability to thread the narrative together into a coherent whole keep the viewers glued to the screen. Other actresses, predominantly Lim Yi Jeon, are also lauded for their persuasive performances and are talked about on social media.
