Besides Ji Sung, “Adamas” also stars a lineup of actors that promise not to disappoint.
As a follow-up to Seo Ye Ji’s “Eve”, tvN’s new drama “Adamas”, marking the highly-anticipated comeback of Ji Sung, is drawing much attention from viewers not only thanks to its engaging plot, but also its high-quality cast.
A trio of trustworthy lead actors
Ji Sung
The main character of the “Adamas” cast is undoubtedly Ji Sung. He is best known to the small-screen audiences for his iconic role in “Kill Me Heal Me”, where he brilliantly took on 7 different roles as his character, Cha Do Hyun suffers from multiple personality disorder. Therefore, playing a dual role as twin brothers Ha Woo Shin and Song Soo Hyun in “Adamas” obviously won’t make it difficult for Ji Sung.
Seo Ji Hye
In “Adamas”, Seo Ji Hye plays Eun Hye Soo, one of the two female leads of the drama. Eun Hye Soo is the daughter-in-law of a chaebol family. She secretly assists Ha Woo Shin in his quest for the truth to be uncovered.
Seo Ji Hye is best known for her roles in “Moon and stars for you”, “The Noblesse”, “Jealousy Incarnate” and “Crash Landing On You”, through which she showed off both her gorgeous visuals and natural acting.
Lee Soo Kyung
Kim Seo Hee, the second female lead character of “Adamas” is played by Lee Soo Kyung. Lee Soo Kyung was born in 1996 and is the youngest actress of the main cast with the least acting experience in drama. However, because of her skills and charm, Lee Soo Kyung’s performance is worth looking forward to.
Before “Adamas”, Lee Soo Kyung appeared in dramas such as “Hogu’s Love”, “Law School”, “Where Stars Land”, and “Reply 1998”.
She has more acting experience in the movie segment because she has participated in 9 different projects, of which the most prominent are Heart Blackend (starring Park Shin Hye) and Miracle: Letters to the President (starring Yoona). These are two projects that help her be honored for the Best Supporting Actress category at the Baeksang Awards in 2018 and 2022.
Talented supporting actors
Besides the main actor, Adamas’s supporting cast also gathered familiar names such as Heo Sung Tae, Cho Seong Ha, Choi Duk Moon and Lee Kyung Young. It is no exaggeration to call Heo Sung Tae the national supporting actor in Korea. He often plays a cruel, fierce character like a dangerous criminal or the leader of a gang.
Meanwhile, Cho Seong Ha is no stranger to the audience as he played the role of Jang Se Joon in “K2”. In addition, he also participated in famous drama projects such as “Hong Cheon-Ki”, Arthdal chronicles, and Delayed Justice.
Choi Duk Moon is also an actor who is familiar with the audience who loves Korean dramas. Before Adamas, the most recent work that Choi Duk Moon attended was “Doctor Lawyer” – a project that marked the small screen comeback of actor So Ji Sub. In addition, there was another actor in “Doctor Lawyer” who also participated in Adamas, Lee Kyoung Young.
