A member of The Boyz recently posted a video showing him smashing a cake gifted by a Japanese staff member from a brand they were promoting. He used a spoon to break it and played with the pieces by hand. The member who posted the video was NEW. He even tagged the brand in the video.
In Japan, not only K-pop fans but also ordinary people are criticizing them, calling Koreans rude at the dinner table, disrespectful towards food, with strange ethics, etc. Koreans are being labeled as unpleasant, among other criticisms.
The Boyz fans defended the idol by claiming that this behavior is part of Korean culture, insulting Japan, talking about historical issues, and launching personal attacks, leading to clashes between Koreans and Japanese.
