The 59th Baeksang Arts Awards will be held on April 28th.
The 59th Baeksang Arts Awards will be broadcast live simultaneously on JTBC, JTBC2, JTBC4 and TikTok.
The Baeksang Arts Awards, a comprehensive arts awards ceremony that encompasses film, television and theater, selects candidates through strict screening with professionalism and fairness as the top priority. 60 industry experts were surveyed prior to the final nominations and they all came from the list of recommendation by group of experts representing film, television and theater.
This year’s screening targets are contents provided on terrestrial, comprehensive, cable, OTT and web channels from April 1st, 2022 to March 31st, 2023, as well as Korean feature films and plays released in Korea at the same time.
The film category targets Korean feature films released in Korea at the same time. Directors who debuted with feature films during the screening period are eligible for the Best New Director award. In both TV and film categories, the Best New Actor/Best New Actress awards are for actors marking their first major roles in either a movie or drama, regardless of how long they have been in the industry.
In the theater category, the screening period is the same. Baeksang Play, Best Short Play, Best Actor, Best Actress will be awarded.

The Baeksang Arts Awards will be held at Incheon Paradise City from 5:30 PM on April 28th.
