It is said that Teddy and Mnet have teamed up for the audition show “I-LAND 2”.
Mnet’s ‘I-LAND 2,’ which is set to air in the first half of 2024, has announced on July 24 that Teddy, the chief producer of The Black Label, has been chosen as the program’s master producer.
Previously, Mnet revealed the production of the second season of the global project ‘I-LAND,’ which captures the process of birthing the next generation of K-pop idols, and began recruiting participants worldwide.
‘I-LAND 2’ is drawing attention once again by announcing Teddy’s participation as the master producer and hinting at various collaborations with The Black Label crew.
Teddy is a talented producer who has given birth to hit songs for world-renowned K-pop stars such as BLACKPINK, BIGBANG, 2NE1, and more. In 2021, he was ranked 25th on Billboard’s list of ‘The 50 Greatest Producers of the 21st Century.’
With Teddy and The Black Label’s production team on board, ‘I-LAND 2’ is expected to captivate global viewers with Mnet’s unique format, innovative planning, and solid production know-how, breaking the mold.
Mnet stated, “As the first step in the distinctive planning of ‘I-LAND 2,’ we are pleased to have The Black Label’s chief producer, Teddy, on board.” They further expressed, “In order to pave the way for the debut of a new global girl group in 2024, we will make fresh attempts to redefine the landscape of K-pop.“
The participants embarking on this new adventurous journey, filled with infinite possibilities, have piqued curiosity about the direction ‘I-LAND 2’ will take when it unveils its veil in the first half of next year.
The girl group born through Mnet’s ‘I-LAND 2’ will subsequently debut under CJ ENM’s subsidiary label, WAKEONE.
