On January 8th (local time), the online channel “The Do Show” uploaded a video of their interview with Tang Wei.
In the interview, Tang Wei firmly said, “I will never divorce director Kim Tae-yong. That will never happen”.
Tang Wei and Kim Tae-yong recently suffered rumors of divorce and discord. The discord rumor is not true at all, while the reason the couple had to live separately is because of their daughter’s education.
The actress shared, “I jokingly said to my daughter, ‘The most precious people to me are my parents, the second is my husband and the third is you’”. She added, “My daughter looked upset so I explained to her, ‘Someday, someone like your father (Kim Tae-yong) will appear in your life’”.
Tang Wei also revealed that her husband, director Kim Tae-yong, is a fool for his daughter. The actress smiled when saying that her husband would listen to everything their daughter asked for.
Meanwhile, Tang Wei made her debut in 2004 and became famous worldwide after playing the female lead in the movie “Lust, Caution” (2007). She met Korean director Kim Tae-yong through the movie “Late Autumn” (2011) then they got married in 2014. The two welcomed their daughter in August 2016.
Tang Wei and Kim Tae-yong will work together as director and actress again in the upcoming movie “Wonderland”. It’s a feature film by Kim Tae-yong about meeting deceased family members and lovers through video call. The movie completed filming in 2021 and is known to be in the post-production stage. The release date has not been scheduled.
