“Taking a break” BTS → “Preparing for comeback” BLACKPINK, idols’ plans for Chuseok

Let’s find out about idols’ plans for this year’s Chuseok holiday.

“Prepare for world tour/new album, busy even on Chuseok”… BLACKPINK · NCT 127 · Stray Kids

BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa), which is about to release their second full-length album “BORN PINK” on Sep 16th, will give up this year’s Chuseok holiday and focus on preparing for the new album. This album is drawing attention in that it is a new album released by BLACKPINK about a year and 10 months after the first full-length album “THE ALBUM” (2020).

BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK entered the 22nd place on the U.S. Billboard’s main single chart “Hot 100” with their pre-released song “Pink Venom” released on Aug 19th, raising expectations for the title song of their second full-length album. It is said that the members give up this year’s Chuseok holiday and focus on practicing for a more perfect comeback stage. Accordingly, expectations are high for BLACKPINK’s second full-length album to be released on Sep 16th.

NCT 127 (Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Mark, Haechan, Jungwoo), which will make a comeback on the same day as BLACKPINK, also spends the holiday in the practice room. They will release their fourth full-length album “2 Baddies” on Sep 16th and hold a comeback show at 8 PM on the same day at KINTEX Exhibition Center 2’s Hall 7 in Ilsan.

All the members are practicing hard to show great music and performances, so please look forward to us.” They did not forget to greet fans, “We hope you have a great Chuseok with your loved ones.”

On the other hand, Stray Kids (Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, HAN, Felix, Seungmin, I.N) are sweating in preparation for additional World Tour concerts scheduled to be held at KSPO DOME in Songpa-gu, Seoul on Sep 17th and 18th. Starting with Seoul in April, they continued their world tour in Newark, Chicago, Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, Anaheim (America) and Kobe, Tokyo (Japan). In particular, their additional concerts in Seoul are meaningful in that it is the first concert to announce Stray Kids’ entry into KSPO DOME.

After the Chuseok holiday, it seems that they will start to prepare for the Busan concert scheduled for Oct 15th. This concert is a full-group concert of BTS, which has suspended group activities. It is drawing keen attention from domestic and foreign ARMY (BTS’ fandom name).

TWICE (Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu), which released their 11th mini album “BETWEEN 1&2” on Aug 26th and is active with the title song “Talk that Talk”, will have time to recharge during the Chuseok holiday. TWICE, which is in the eighth year since their debut, showed off their strength as they set their own record by surpassing 1 million pre-orders with “BETWEEN 1&2”.

aespa (Karina, Winter, Giselle, Ningning) and NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein), which are attracting attention as “the 4th generation’s representative girl groups”, will also spend this Chuseok holiday with their families.

aespa has been on a roll as their second mini album “Girls” (released in July) sold 1.64 million copies and ranked third on the U.S. Billboard’s main album chart “Billboard 200” – the highest ranking among K-pop girl groups this year.
