Taiwanese singer and actor Aaron Yan has been engulfed in a MeToo revelation.
Famous male TikToker Yao Le revealed on his social media account on June 21st (local time) that he was coerced by Aaron Yan into filming a sex tape.
Yao Le claimed, “In 2018, when I was 16 years old, I was dating Aaron Yan. Aaron Yan filmed and circulated a sex tape without my consent.”
He further revealed, “The video was filmed by a third party, not Aaron Yan, and I had to suspend my studies because of this incident. When this matter was brought to public attention, Aaron Yan threatened to send gang members after me.”
As the controversy spread on Taiwanese online communities, Aaron Yan expressed his apologies. However, he explained that the video leak seemed to have occurred during the process of repairing his phone, and it was not done by him.
That’s not all. Aaron Yan unexpectedly appeared at Yao Le’s press conference without prior notice. Aaron Yan lowered his head and said, “I want to apologize for causing things that should never happen in one’s life.”
Aaron Yan also choked up and said in front of the reporters, “I absolutely did not secretly film anything. I did not engage in any actions that violated his (Yao Le’s) consent.”
In response, Yao Le countered, “Filming a video with a minor itself is illegal. Do not confuse the public.”
When Aaron Yan was in a relationship with Yao Le in 2018, there was a revelation that he was having simultaneous relationships with three other men.
