Taiwanese actor taken to police station in handcuffs for causing disturbance after drinking wine with flight attendants

Taiwanese actor & singer Marcus Chang caused controversy over his out-of-control actions after getting drunk.

On August 16th, Singaporean media outlet Lianhe Zaobao reported that Marcus Chang caused a disturbance while being drunk on the way home after drinking wine with his fellow entertainers and flight attendants.

Upon receiving reports about Marcus Chang’s strange behaviors, local police were dispatched to the scene. Although the police tried to restrain him, the actor continued to go out of control so he was eventually taken to the police station in handcuffs.

After being questioned by the police for about two hours, Marcus Chang was released and returned home. He was handed over to his guardian after sobering up.

Marcus Chang’s side explained, “The actor has been very pressured due to the filming schedules for the past few months. We’ve already apologized to the residents”.

They apologized, “He regrets and would like to apologize for showing a bad appearance after getting drunk. We apologize for causing concerns with the actors’ personal issues”.

Despite the apology, local netizens are still disappointed. Marcus Chang was diagnosed with a collapsed lung in February and even had to undergo emergency surgery. Netizens poured harsh criticism on the actor due to the fact that he drank alcohol excessively and caused a stir within only 6 months after the surgery.

Some commented, “He’s so different from the image I’ve seen before. I was very surprised”, “There were flight attendants at the drinking party?”, “Causing a disturbance while being drunk?”, “He didn’t even care about his health at all?”, “Even if he gets stressed out, he should refrain from doing things that can hurt others”, etc.

Marcus Chang debuted in 2014 with the film “Café. Waiting. Love”. He then starred in various works, such as “To the Dearest Intruder”, “Back to 1989”, “Behind Your Smile”, “Let’s Go Crazy on LIVE!”, “Lost Romance”, etc.
