Jiyeon Posted T-ara’s Song “Lies” On SNS To Deny Divorce Rumors?
Some speculated that Jiyeon’s recent SNS post was to refute rumors of her divorcing baseball player husband Hwang Jae-gyun
On July 29th, Jiyeon uploaded on her SNS account a photo taken with T-ara members to celebrate the 15th anniversary of T-ara’s debut.
She later shared a cover photo of T-ara’s hit song “Lies Pt.1”, drawing attention.
Ever since rumors of her divorce from Hwang Jae-gyun spread, Jiyeon has not expressed any position. Therefore, some netizens believe that this post might have been her denial of the divorce rumors.
Last month, commentator Lee Kwang-gil caused a stir with his remark during a KNN baseball broadcast. At that time, he said, “You know what? Hwang Jae-gyun is divorced”. This comment was made during the break in the middle of the game in a personal conversation so it was not recorded in the official radio broadcast, however, people who watched the live stream through visible radio broadcast on YouTube could hear it.
As controversy arose, the commentator apologized, saying “It was a misunderstanding. I made a mistake”. Jiyeon’s agency CEO also refuted the divorce rumors, claiming that they were groundless.
Meanwhile, Hwang Jae-gyun and Jiyeon tied the knot in December 2022. After her marriage, Jiyeon often shared moments of her married life on YouTube, however, she is currently taking a break.
