T-ara’s Jiyeon Halts YouTube Activities Following Husband Hwang Jae-gyun’s Attitude Controversy
T-ara's Jiyeon announced her hiatus on YouTube after facing a backlash due to her husband’s controversial attitude recently
On June 20th, Jiyeon posted on her personal SNS account, saying “I ask for your understanding that it will be difficult for me to upload new YouTube videos for the time being due to personal circumstances”, adding “I will come back with a bright appearance. Thank you”.
Jiyeon mentioned “personal circumstances” as the reason for her YouTube hiatus, but netizens raised speculations that it might have been because of malicious comments toward her husband Hwang Jae-gyun.
Baseball player Hwang Jae-gyun recently faced criticism for his inappropriate attitude and behavior during a match earlier on the 5th. While expressing his displeasure during the match, Hwang Jae-gyun eventually caused a bench-clearing.
Following the incident, some baseball fans flocked to Jiyeon’s SNS account and left malicious comments about her husband’s behavior. The singer-actress may feel so burdened as hateful comments continue until now.
Jiyeon has been updating daily photos through her personal SNS account and consistently releasing videos on YouTube, however, she decided to stop YouTuber activities for a while.
