While YG has confirmed that the 4 members of 2NE1 will start a world tour in October and KARA has just released a commemorative digital single, T-ara is also making moves to reunite in celebration of their 15th debut anniversary.
Recently, three T-ara members—Qri, Eunjung, and Hyomin—flew to Shanghai, China to hold a warm fan meeting for the group’s 15th anniversary. Many fans attended the event to interact with their idols. Even though the three members are in their late 30s, their appearances still looked impressive through the camera. They spent a lot of time chatting and signing autographs for the fans who came to the event.
However, netizens still feel disappointed by the absence of the group’s most popular member, Jiyeon. Some opinions suggest that Jiyeon might have been forced to limit her appearances recently due to controversies surrounding her husband. Earlier, in early June, Jiyeon’s husband, baseball player Hwang Jae Gyun, was involved in a scuffle with an opponent at the stadium. Hwang Jae Gyun’s inappropriate behavior was harshly criticized by the public.
Jiyeon has also been affected by her husband’s actions. Since Hwang Jae Gyun has deactivated his account, netizens have turned their focus to harassing the T-ara star. Specifically, Hyomin posted an Instagram story with images hinting at the 15th anniversary project of T-ara and checked in at a photoshoot with the members. Photos of the four T-ara members at the photoshoot were widely shared on social media.
Notably, Jiyeon also posted pictures with her T-ara sisters, including a photo of each member’s nameplate. Since their last comeback in 2021, T-ara has rarely promoted together. Each member has had her own focus and stable personal life. The fact that they are coming together to prepare for the 15th anniversary project has warmed fans’ hearts.
