On May 28th, the YouTube channel of “Management SOOP” released a video titled “‘Icon of Baeksang’ Suzy will continue until the 100th ceremony | Behind the scenes of 60th Baeksang Arts Awards”. The video shows Suzy preparing for her MC performance at the Baeksang Arts Awards. Appearing on the rehearsal stage, Suzy matched her script with Shin Dong-yeop and Park Bo-gum.
Suzy got embarrassed as soon as she read the line, “You guys have small dreams, ‘Baeksang Art Awards icon’ Suzy will continue on for the 100th awards”, in the script. Park Bo-gum called Suzy while singing the BGM and the two burst into laughter.
After the MC rehearsal, Suzy changed her outfit into a dress and took a commemorative photo with the cue card. Taking the love stage after the red carpet event ended, Suzy continuously checked the script and practiced her comments, showing her dedication to the MC role.
In addition, Suzy also smiled at the award presenters and took selfies while wearing the MC dress. When asked about her tips for taking selfies, Suzy said, “I thought everyone knew I’m bad at selfies”. She kept changing the position of her phone to take pictures of her face from different angles.
As the awards ceremony moved on to the second part, Suzy also wore a different dress with a softer atmosphere. She explained, “For part 1 of the awards ceremony, we chose a cute dress with a ribbon. Part 2 feels more feminine”.
After the Baeksang ceremony, Suzy happily said, “Done!”. When asked if she was nervous, the actress replied, “I really get nervous each time I do it. But since I have fellow MCs by my side, we can share the nervousness together so it’s better. But I still get nervous”. Upon hearing the compliment, “You did so well”, Suzy smiled brightly and did the flower pose.
