On September 27, YouTube channel DdeunDdeun released a new episode of Pinggyego, featuring Suzy and Kim Woo Bin, co-stars of the upcoming Netflix drama Genie, Make a Wish, as guests alongside hosts Yoo Jae Suk and Yang Se Chan.
During the show, Suzy opened up about her personality, admitting, “When I was younger, I was naturally reserved. But after being on broadcasts, I became brighter. Even now, I think I’ve become more cheerful.”
Yoo Jae Suk pointed out how difficult it must have been for someone reserved to debut as an idol. Suzy admitted, “Back then, I didn’t realize it. Now, when I think about it, I was actually quite reserved, but I still managed to make it work somehow.”
She explained, “With friends, I was still that reserved person, but once I was on set, I’d switch it on. I’d put on my smile.” Yoo Jae Suk noted that her friends must have teased her. Suzy recalled, “They just said it was more like a business smile.”
Suzy also revealed that when she meets friends, she prefers casual hangouts. “We usually just drink and talk. I don’t really go to cafes. Honestly, I don’t know what people do in cafes,” she joked, surprising Yoo Jae Suk.
