Surpassed Kim Gun-mo, “Korea’s biggest seller” BTS appears in the Guinness World Record

BTS has been added to the Guinness World Records once again.

On June 25th, The Guinness World Records announced on its official website that BTS had set another record in Korea.

It was thanks to the album “Map of the Soul: Persona“. According to the article, they have sold 3,399,302 copies of the album from released date to the end of May. This has definitely surpassed Kim Gun-mo’s record. Kim Gun-mo sold more than 3.3 million copies of his third album “Wrongful Meeting” in 1995.

The album “Map of the Soul: Persona” has also topped the Billboard 200 chart in the U.S. and the official albums chart in the U.K.

The song “Boy With Luv” is holding three records. In just 24 hours since the release of the music video, the number of views has exceeded 73.6 million. That’s the most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours and the most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours.

Meanwhile, BTS is set to release the movie “Bring the Soul: The Movie” on October 7th.
