The Japanese idol group SUPER☆GiRLS is preparing for a heartfelt farewell as two of its members Sakabayashi Kana and Tanaka Cocona announced their retirement from the entertainment industry.

Formed in 2010, SUPER☆GiRLS has undergone multiple lineup changes over the years. Kana joined the group in 2018, while Cocona became a member in 2021. Both idols are now set to graduate from the group this summer, marking the group’s 16th anniversary concert as their final stage appearance.
According to the official announcement, Kana expressed her desire to step away while still performing at her peak, choosing to make space for the next generation of idols. Meanwhile, Cocona revealed plans to pursue a career in fashion, a passion she discovered during her time as a performer.

While many idols transition to other entertainment paths after leaving their groups, both Kana and Cocona have decided to retire completely from the spotlight. Their departure signals the end of an era for fans, who have followed their journeys with admiration.
The group and fans alike are preparing to bid a warm and emotional goodbye as the two idols take their final bow.
