Super Junior Members Reveal Leeteuk’s Habit Of Sharing Celebrity Gossip In Group Chat
Super Junior members talked about their recent contract renewal and exposed Leeteuk’s habit of sharing useless gossip in group chat
The March 27th broadcast of MBC’s entertainment program “Radio Star” featured the guest appearance of Super Junior’s Kim Hee-chul, Leeteuk, Yesung, and Eunhyuk.
On the broadcast, Kim Hee-chul stimulated viewers’ curiosity as he said, “Super Junior almost disbanded right before the group’s 20th anniversary”. He shared, “Last year, we discussed our contract renewals. Donghae and Eunhyuk set up an agency and left SM, and Kyuhyun also moved to Antenna. Other members stayed in SM”.
Recalling the situation back then, he continued, “Shindong and I respected the members’ different opinions, but Leeteuk and Yesung wanted all members to renew their contracts with SM. We had a meeting because of the contract renewal and the atmosphere was very intense.”
In this regard, Leeteuk explained, “There’s a misunderstanding. I had a dream of becoming a producer. So I already met and talked with more than 100 representatives from agencies in person. I wanted to achieve that dream with the members”.
Heechul commented, “I also discussed with another company. But I renewed my contract with SM because of teacher Lee Soo-man who helped me debut. But the article saying teacher Lee Soo-man was leaving the company broke out two weeks after the contract renewal”, drawing laughter.
In addition, Leeteul also complained about the members. He said, “I’m very upset that the members didn’t reply after checking messages in the group chat”. In response, Eunhyuk said, “He posts a lot of useless things. He posts everything about himself in the group chat”, adding, “He keeps posting golf videos in the group chat but no one is interested in it. He’s a celebrity but he keeps posting gossip news about other celebrities”.
Hearing that, Kim Gu-ra asked, “Why did you post such gossip? Did you want to remind the members to be careful?”. Leeteuk replied, “I shared them in the group chat so that we know what’s going on in the entertainment industry together”.
Kim Hee-chul reacted, “I couldn’t stand it so I secretly left the chatroom. He used to post rumors of male celebrities dating in the group chat. But I was the main character of the rumor. He shared it in the group chat of more than 20 people.”
