Sung Dong-il apologizes for being late for the press conference of “If You Wish Upon Me”… “I’m sorry that I’m late”

Actor Sung Dong-il apologized after being late for the press conference of “If You Wish Upon Me”.

Sung Dong-il arrived later than other attendees at the press conference of KBS 2TV’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “If You Wish Upon Me” (directed by Kim Yong-wan, written by Jo Ryeong-soo, produced by Climax Studios), which was held online from 2 PM on August 10th. He showed up 30 minutes after the press conference began.

Sung Dong-il said, “I’m sorry that I’m late. I watched the press conference in real time on my way here. You don’t even criticize me. I’m sorry.”

He introduced his character in “If You Wish Upon Me”, “I’m actor Sung Dong-il. Yes. I finished my last shoot in January. My role is Kang Tae-shik, right? I play the role of Kang Tae-sik. I’m sorry.”

Announcer Lee Jae-sung, who hosted the press conference of “If You Wish Upon Me”, said, “However, as you can see on the screen, Sung Dong-il is busy on the road. As you all know, roads are blocked all over Seoul because of the bad weather.”

He added, “Please understand that Sung Dong-il is a little late because he’s passing through the restricted section even though he left home very early.”

Meanwhile, “If You Wish Upon Me” has been inspired by a true account of the Make-a-Wish foundation in the Netherlands. Starring Ji Chang-wook, Sung Dong-il, Choi Soo-young and Won Ji-an, it is a healing drama set in a hospice hospital that fulfills different last wishes of people at the end of their lives. The first episode will air at 9:50 PM on August 10th.
