On the evening of May 22, Choi, the older brother of late actress and singer Sulli, once again stirred controversy after hinting on social media that he possesses a 37-minute phone recording involving his late sister’s former manager. According to him, the audio allegedly mentions IU, Lee Sarang, Kim Soo Hyun, psychiatric hospitals, SM Entertainment, and even personal details about Sulli’s private life at the time.
He wrote, “I currently possess a 37-minute phone recording with my younger sister’s former manager. The recording mentions IU, Lee Sarang, Kim Soo Hyun, psychiatric hospitals, SM Entertainment, and even some unpleasant parts of my sister’s private life at the time. There are many things I want to question, but I’m holding back because of my mother. A year ago, I only briefly mentioned the movie from back then, and honestly, I never wanted to use this recording in the future. But I want to make it clear in advance that there is absolutely no fabrication or false information here.”
Previously, on May 21, Choi uploaded a cryptic message to his social media account shortly after reports emerged that police had reportedly determined allegations involving Kim Soo-hyun and late actress Kim Sae-ron to be false.
“The moment you crawl back out, it’s round two. The choice is yours,” Choi wrote.
Earlier that day, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station reportedly concluded that claims made by Garosero Research Institute CEO Kim Se-ui regarding Kim Soo-hyun allegedly dating Kim Sae-ron while she was a minor were fabricated.

According to reports, the social media messenger conversations and audio recordings presented as evidence were allegedly determined to have been manipulated.
Following the news, Choi’s social media post quickly became a hot topic online. When one acquaintance asked who he was referring to, Choi reportedly replied, “There’s someone from the stars over there,” which many interpreted as a reference to My Love from the Star, one of Kim Soo-hyun’s most famous dramas.
Choi has previously made allegations involving Kim Soo-hyun in connection to his late sister Sulli’s appearance in the film Real. He claimed that Sulli had been pressured into filming bed scenes during production.
The renewed tension has once again reignited online discussions surrounding Kim Soo-hyun, Sulli, and the long-running controversies connected to the film.
