Students Poured Complaints Over Incheon University Festival That IVE Performed, “Don’t Invite Idols Again”

Prior to the festival, Incheon National University announced that long-range cameras are not allowed at the festival. The school clearly stated, “Do not store prohibited items separately upon entry”, “We can only help you discard the items”, “If you want us to keep your belongings and return to take them back later, you must wait again at the end of the line”, “If prohibited items are found upon entry, you will be asked to leave”, etc.

However, the scene became chaotic as not only Incheon University students but fans of idol groups also gathered to watch the performances, resulting in complaints from students. In the meantime, a video containing the urgent voice of a female staff member who managed the chaotic scene at the festival spread widely in online communities. The female staff member, presumed to be a student, shouted out loud many times, saying “Please put down all the cameras”, “I warn you, and if you don’t listen, you’ll have to leave”, “Lower down your cameras”, “We’ll ask you to leave”, “Please don’t raise the cameras”, etc. However, idol fans continued to raise their cameras and film the performance.

Seeing the video, netizens also expressed regrets, saying “I feel so sorry for the female staff”, “I don’t understand why those people are so disobedient when coming to other people’s school”, “She shouted as if she was feeling so mad”, etc.

On the other hand, IVE fans also responded with complaints, drawing attention. In an online community, fans commented, “It was so difficult to take videos at Incheon National University”, “They were so strict when catching me”, “People around were all filming with big cameras but only I got caught”, “I kept looking around because I was afraid that the security would catch me”, etc. Such reviews from idol fans added to netizens’ frustration.
