On the morning of the 19th, Stray Kids held a press conference at the Grand Ballroom of Conrad Seoul in Yeouido, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their new mini-album ‘ATE’.
Previously, on the 18th, JYP Entertainment announced that all Stray Kids members had renewed their contracts. Bang Chan commented, “First of all, I wanted to quickly share this good news with our fans. Thanks to the fans and the company staff who have always supported us well, we were able to imagine continuing together.”
Bang Chan continued, “We decided to renew our contracts because we can see how much more we can grow. Most importantly, all the members were of one heart and one mind. As the team leader, I was grateful and touched by the members.”
He added, “I think Stray Kids has been crafting our story well since before our debut. There are still many aspects we want to show you in the future. We consider this opportunity a new beginning and will show you more of ourselves.”
The title track ‘Chk Chk Boom’ features a Latin-style hip-hop rhythm and powerful performance, heralding a new style for Stray Kids. The music video teaser, which previously featured the famous star Ryan Reynolds, also garnered attention.
This album comes about eight months after their album ‘樂-STAR’ (Rockstar), which achieved their fourth number one on the US Billboard ‘Billboard 200’. The members have significantly enhanced the musical quality through self-producing.
