As Fifty Fifty filed a lawsuit against their current agency, Korean netizens expressed a negative stance on the members’ actions.
On June 29th, a post titled “A person who feels like Fifty Fifty has done everything Koreans hate” was uploaded on the online community “FM Korea”.
The released photo showed a post uploaded on an anonymous community.
A, the author of this post, wrote, “I feel like Fifty Fifty has done everything Koreans hate. They stabbed a CEO who is over 60 years old in the back.”
A explained, “The CEO (who was sued by the members) sold a 10-year-old Rolex watch and a car to invest in the group. He liked them so much that he thought of them like his daughters, helped them study English and bragged that they read books a lot.”
A expressed sadness, “He released a music video for each of the songs in the album. There are music videos for all four songs. The dorm also has 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms. There are many cases where even large agencies can’t do that…“
In an interview with Sports Seoul, Attrakt’s CEO Jeon Hong Joon, who discovered Fifty Fifty, revealed a secret story, “We had to release the group’s physical album, but we didn’t have enough funds, so we sold our watch and car.”
CEO Jeon confessed, “When releasing the ‘physical album’, we had to pay the upfront commission fee to the Korea Music Copyright Association, but we lacked funds. Without hesitation, I sold the Rolex watch that I had worn for 10 years to a second-hand designer store.”
