Song Joong-ki Returns To Hometown Daejeon For ‘Hwaran’ Stage Greeting, “My Friend Is Here”
“Son of Daejeon” actor Song Joong-ki met his friends in Daejeon
On October 2nd, Song Joong-ki’s agency HighZium Studio uploaded on their official YouTube channel a new video titled, “Revealing the scene of BIFF! Mission Song-possible”.
The video shows Song Joong-ki heading to Daejeon for a stage greeting of the movie “Hwaran (Hopeless)” after completing his schedule in Busan.
Upon arriving at Daejeon Station, Song Joong-ki said, “Daejeon, this is my hometown!”. Looking nervous, the actor confessed, “I’m nervous that my friends from Daejeon will be there”.
The stage greeting finally began. Song Joong-ki greeted the audience, saying “Hello, I’m Song Joong-ki, pride of Daejeon”. As predicted, the actor really met a friend when looking around the hall after his greeting. He shyly said, “Oh my friend is here. They do this to me… I was so surprised!”.
After the stage greeting, Song Joong-ki spent time taking commemorative photos with the audience and reading handwritten letters. He shared, “Your warm welcome really makes me so happy. Daejeon is my hometown, so it feels very cozy, but still, thank you so much”.
Meanwhile, Song Joong-ki registered his marriage with British actress Katy Louise Saunders in January, making his debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May, and welcomed his first son in June.
The actor has been meeting viewers since the premiere of “Hwaran” in October. “Hwaran” is a noir film about a boy named Yeongyu (Hong Xa-bin), who wants to escape from the hellish reality, meeting an organization’s middle boss Chigeon (Song Joong-ki) then entering the world of crime.
