Song Joong Ki has once again captured public attention—this time not on screen, but on the golf course. The star made a surprise appearance as a caddie for professional golfer Im Sung Jae during the 2026 Masters Tournament’s Par 3 Contest.
According to reports on April 9 (KST), Song Joong Ki joined Im Sung Jae at the prestigious Masters Tournament held at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, USA. The actor was seen assisting the golfer throughout the Par 3 Contest, an annual pre-tournament event known for its relaxed and festive atmosphere.

The Masters Par 3 Contest, first introduced in 1960, is held on a 9-hole, par-3 course the day before the main competition begins. Unlike the intense competition of the main event, the contest allows players to invite family members and close acquaintances as caddies, creating memorable and often lighthearted moments for fans.
Wearing a white caddie uniform with the number 47 and a cap bearing the Masters logo, Song Joong Ki blended seamlessly into the event. He accompanied Im Sung Jae across the course, drawing significant attention from spectators and media alike.

Their appearance together has sparked renewed curiosity about their relationship. The two reportedly first met in 2021 through a mutual acquaintance and have since bonded over their shared interest in golf. Their friendship has remained strong over the years, with Song Joong Ki even attending Im Sung Jae’s wedding in 2022.
Meanwhile, the Par 3 Contest concluded with golfer Aaron Rai taking the win, adding another highlight to the celebratory event.
Song Joong Ki’s unexpected participation not only delighted fans but also showcased a different side of the actor—one that reflects his personal passions and close friendships beyond the entertainment industry.
