The two participated in a performance themed around Schumann’s Kinderszenen (“Scenes from Childhood”), delivering a heartfelt message to the audience.
Katy read in English while Song Joong Ki followed in Korean, creating a touching bilingual performance. One particularly memorable moment came when Katy read the phrase “My Son,” followed by Song Joong Ki’s Korean rendition, “My son,” as they conveyed messages of courage and strength to children. Founded in 2021, Gaon Soloists is a chamber ensemble that brings together musicians with and without disabilities, performing a wide range of genres including classical, musical, traditional Korean music, pop, and jazz.
