On September 10, Song Joong Ki appeared on comedian Park Na Rae’s YouTube channel “Naraesik” alongside Chun Woo Hee, his co-star in JTBC’s Friday drama My Youth. Park treated them to a homemade meal of braised short ribs and octopus soup. Song Joong Ki, who had just returned from overseas, expressed excitement, saying, “This is my first Korean meal in months, so it feels even more special.” He added with a smile, “I actually avoided eating Korean food for a week after returning because I wanted to save the moment for today.”
During their chat, Song revealed that he and Park Na Rae are the same age and even live in the same neighborhood. “Sometimes when I go for walks, I pass by your house,” he said. Park was surprised, joking, “I go for walks too—how have I never run into you?” Song replied, “I usually go out in the morning,” to which Park laughed, “I only go out between midnight and 3 AM, so no wonder we’ve missed each other.”
Song Joong Ki married British actress Katy Louise Saunders in 2023 and welcomed their first son in June of that year. Shortly after, the couple announced they were expecting again, and by November of last year, they had welcomed their daughter—making Song a father of two in quick succession. In June of last year, he was spotted walking the streets with his wife, pushing a stroller, which drew warm attention from the public.
