In a new video released on September 19 via the YouTube channel “HighZium studio”, Song Joong Ki—currently appearing in JTBC’s Friday drama My Youth—introduced his role as Sunwoo Hae, a florist who runs a flower shop. He shared that while preparing for the role, he learned a great deal about flowers from professional florists, which sparked his personal fascination with them.
Song Joong Ki recalled joining a florist teacher on several early-morning visits to the flower market: “The lively atmosphere was wonderful. I loved that you could buy beautiful flowers cheaply, but even more, I enjoyed the real, everyday energy of the people there.” He added that since then, he has also gone on his own a few times. “I like being surrounded by freshness, so my home always has flowers. They never run out,” he explained.
This sweet detail highlights the actor’s devotion to his family. In January 2023, Song Joong Ki announced both his marriage to British actress Katy Louise Saunders and her pregnancy. Just five months later, the couple welcomed their son, and last year, they celebrated the arrival of their daughter. His thoughtful gestures—like keeping their home filled with flowers—have only strengthened his image as a doting husband and father.
