Song Jae-rim’s Independent Film “Death Business” About Startup Tricks To Begin Filming This Month
An independent film inspired by LUNA coin’s enormous impact on the global financial sector in 2022 is in production
The movie “Death Business” tells the story of young individuals making irreversible choices as they illegally obtain youth startup support funds by exploiting various advantages such as youth, women, and disabilities then deliberately declare bankruptcy after closing their businesses, and receive Series A investments through virtual currency services.
“Death Business” deals with the chronology of young businessmen from 2009 to 2023 in six parts. The film is planned to depict the grim reality faced by young individuals along with the hidden aspects of startup investments in the form of a black comedy.
“Death Business” raised high expectations as they cast promising MZ generation actors who have been steadily growing in the film and drama industry with diverse personalities and fresh charms.
Actor Song Jae-rim plays the main character Yang Do-hyun, who receives youth startup support and repeats the series of bankruptcy and closure. Ahn Woo-hyun was cast for the role of Kang Ji-woo, while Min Sung-wook will appear as venture capital investor Cabin who decides to make investment support. In addition, actress So Hee-jung will take the role of Yang Do-hyun’s mother Okja, and actor Cha Jung-won plays Ha Kyung-jin, who induces and introduces illegal funds through a startup competition.
Director Hyun Ha-ri will take the megaphone for “Death Business”. Revealing his directing intention, the director said, “Since this is an independent film, it will focus on realistically delivering sharp and edgy stories without commercial constraints. There will also be comedic elements to make sure that the audience does not feel tired or discomfort while watching the film.”
The lawyer who provided legal advice for “Death Business” also shared, “The scenario was carefully reviewed based on thorough preliminary investigation of legal cases”.
“Death Business” plans to begin filming at the end of this month and premiere in the first half of next year after the post-production process.
