Song Hye-kyo Spreads Good Influence On Liberation Day By Donating Guidebooks To Mongolia

On August 15th, Professor Seo Kyung-duk of Sungshin Women’s University and actress Song Hye-kyo donated 10,000 copies of the guidebook to Lee Tae-joon Memorial Hall located in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in commemoration of Liberation Day.

Produced in both Korean and Mongolian, the guidebook is currently available at the temporary Lee Tae-joon Memorial Hall. It will also be placed at the newly opened Lee Tae-joon Memorial Hall.

The guidebook provides detailed information about Lee Tae-joon’s anti-Japanese independence activities, his work in Mongolia, Lee Tae-joon Memorial Park, Lee Tae-joon’s family tomb, and his life.

Regarding the reason he decided to donate the guidebook, Professor Seo Kyung-duk said, “As the number of Korean tourists visiting Mongolia is increasing these days, I believe that it was the perfect time to promote independence activist Lee Tae-joon”.

He continued, “The preservation status of Korean independence movement sites remaining overseas is not very good. To preserve these independence movement sites abroad, it is important to continue attracting interest and visits of Korean people.”

With Professor Seo Kyung-duk’s planning and support from actress Song Hye-kyo, many Korean guidebooks, Korean signs, and relief sculptures of independence activists have been donated to 37 places related to the Korean independence movement overseas over the past 13 years.
